About Us

NAPA, founded in 1942, is a national voluntary organisation funded by the Ministry of Justice.

Formerly known as NAPBH we changed our name in 2007 to NAPA - the National Approved Premises Association, to better reflect current terminology for, and usage of the 'approved hostels' our members provide.

We have no connection with the ClearSprings Bail Project or their rented houses that are often referred to incorrectly in the media as 'bail hostels'.

We are not an accommodation finding agency, and we are not able to arrange individual placements in Approved Premises.
